I've rounded up the best bistro chairs for your home. There are some amazing finds here! I update this list every couple of months or so. (That's your hint to check back here again!) Walmart, Target, Wayfair, and Overstock seem to have the most affordable collection of bistro chairs.

But the one that I see all over Instagram is this one from Serena and Lily. This collection has both a chair and a counter stool version. They are absolutely gorgeous and have various color options as well.

The Story behind the Parisian Bistro Chair

In 1920, in a small furniture shop right outside Paris, the humble beginnings of the iconic Parisian Bistro Chair were born. It was then that a man named Joseph Gatti, an Italian who immigrated to France in 1909, began his furniture company.

His shop is still around today, one of the last of its kind, crafting these beautiful bistro chairs in over 30 unique patterns that can be seen up and down Parisian streets and boulevards, as well as perched on stoops and terraces.

So, if you want to go straight to the source … just sayin'. France is where it's at.

After, all these chairs are sentimental to me. They are a part of my life. When my husband and I first dated, our favorite restaurant was a stylish French Cafe.

They had outdoor seating and the sidewalk was lined with these French bistro chairs and tables. We have so many great memories from that restaurant.
